The halls were buzzing once again on day two at #infosec17. The isles were packed and there was more invaluable content across all the theatres. Here is a look at just some of the best bits.
Women in cyber…
Today’s education programme kicked off with a focus on women in cybersecurity and an invaluable networking breakfast. Then BBC Technology Journalist, reporter and author, Kate Russell took to the stage to discuss some of the gender challenges for women in the industry.
We chatted to Kate following her session for an overview of the key points.
Artificial intelligence & machine learning…
Next up Bruce Schneier, Security Technologist at IBM, took to the keynote stage for a fascinating look at the risk vs opportunity of artificial intelligence & machine learning.
We caught up with Bruce straight from the stage for a round-up of the key points.
On day two, the Cyber Innovation Zone, now in it’s second year here at #infosec17, once again proved to be a popular feature. Earlier today we spoke to exhibitor CyNation who told us more about their offering and exactly why they are here.
Blockchain and cybersecurity…
This afternoon in the keynote theatre it was time for a look at blockchain. Jaya Baloo, CISO at KPN Telecom provided the audience with an in-depth insight into the technologies and if these really are the next frontier in cybersecurity.
