New Launch: Infosecurity Intelligent Defence – European Technical Research Conference

We are thrilled to announce the new launch of our technical research conference ‘Infosecurity Intelligent Defence’, which will be held on 02-03 June 2015, in London, UK. Taking place alongside Infosecurity Europe, the two-day conference will be located at Olympia London with direct access to our flagship event Infosecurity Europe.

The new conference brand has been put together after extensive industry research and is following feedback from visitors to the event requesting more in-depth technical sessions.

Infosecurity Intelligent Defence 2015 is a two-day, technical security conference, focusing on the latest research into vulnerabilities and exploits and sharing insight into how to defend against them. The Conference provides a new and exciting platform for the latest technical research and defensive tools and techniques to be shared with the wider information security community.

We are proud to introduce the advisory council for Infosecurity Intelligent Defence, which consists of industry luminaries supporting the event and curating the content, ensuring the quality and expertise of the speakers selected. The advisory council consists of:

  • Dr. Eric Cole, Chief Scientist, Secure Anchor Consulting; Fellow, SANS Institute and Infosecurity Europe 2014 Hall of Fame Inductee
  • Trey Ford, Global Security Strategist at Rapid7
  • Rik Ferguson, Global VP Security Research at Trend Micro, Infosecurity Europe 2011 Hall of Fame Inductee
  • Jack Daniel, Strategist at Tenable Network Security

Infosecurity Intelligent Defence Advisory Council MemberRik Ferguson said: “The Infosecurity Intelligent Defence technical research conference is a really exciting development from the team responsible for the hugely successful Infosecurity Europe and global Infosecurity event series. The conference takes advantage of the timing and attendance of Infosecurity Europe to bring together even more of the technical people who make up the backbone of any successful information security team. I am excited to be a part of this event and firmly believe that its focus on meaningful content, practical demonstrations and never-before-seen research will appeal to a whole new audience and help us get one step closer to all speaking the same security language”

“Everyone likes talking about the problem with cybersecurity but no-one else in Europe is addressing the solutions,” added Dr. Eric Cole. “I am very excited to be involved with the Infosecurity Intelligent Defence that is going to cover defensive technical solutions that actually work and help focus on making the world a more secure place”.

Member of the Infosecurity Intelligent Defence Advisory Council

Jack Daniel stated “I’m excited to be part of the team working on Infosecurity Intelligent Defence and look forward to the in-depth technical content it will showcase.”

Member if the Infosecurity Intelligent Defence Advisory Board “It’s an honour to serve on the advisory council for Infosecurity Intelligent Defence 2015. The team has a strong desire to highlight emerging research and bring increasingly technical content to the event. This is a timely shift for the EU market, as the legal climate does not seem to understand the virtues of ‘classic hacking’ – the importance of security research empowering IT teams charged with defending networks from nuanced and rapidly evolving attacks. We hope this trend will continue, paving the way for healthy and pragmatic discussions about vulnerabilities, exploitation, and appropriate detection and response countermeasures, ultimately protecting the global economy and our way of life“ Trey Ford concluded.

Infosecurity Intelligent Defence will feature the greatest minds behind the latest developments in information security  and bring together technical security practitioners including security researchers, pen-testers, application developers, security architects, security engineers, cryptographers, analysts, programmers and anyone with an in-depth interest in the latest technical developments of information security.

The call for papers will be open from Wednesday 17th December 2014 until Thursday, 12th February 2015.
